This week Miss Alonzi’s maths set have been learning how bigger numbers can be made up of smaller numbers. We have had lots of fun using different materials in our learning!
Last term, Primary 5 worked very hard to win Class of the Term. As their treat we had a pizza party! The children learnt how to make pizzas, picked their toppings and then got to eat their delicious pizzas. The fun afternoon was finished off by a tasty ice cream. You will be able to see from our pictures how much fun we had making (and eating) our pizzas!
In French, Primary 5 have been learning French food vocabulary. To practice what we have learning we had a French breakfast where the children had to ask for their food using the French vocabulary they have learnt. We had a lovely time showing off our amazing accents and enjoying the delicious food!
Last week Primary 5 were joined by Doctor Watson, Nurse It Better and a variety of patients with common ailments. This interactive show explored the main organs of the body, describes their main funstions and delves into the role of healthy eating in maintaining their function. In class the children have been learning about the musculoskeletal, circulatory, respiratory and digestive stystems. The Generation Science show brought the science to life for the children. You will be able to see from our pictures how much we enjoyed the session!
This term Primary 5 have been exploring the rainforest. We have been learning about the different layers of the rainforest and the different animals that can be found there. We have written some acrostic poems with interesting facts about the rainforest – we hope you enjoy reading them!
