Today we completed our Sumdog training with the Primary 7 class. They showed us how to login and some of the different features of Sumdog.
They have shown us how to change the way our character looks. Our characters are called avatars.
We have all had the opportunity to work on the iPads and the laptops.
Each child has been given their username and password to enjoy using at home.

The Digital Leaders are a small group of Primary 7 students who have been chosen to help with technology learning and support across the school.
Our team consists of four core members and two additional supports. Throughout the year we will progress and employ and train some Primary 6 students so they can take on these roles next year.
We are currently being trained in all things ICT. We have just learned how to contribute to the school website and will support teachers in doing this as well. We also help troubleshoot laptops and iPads if any classes are having trouble with them. We also work to ensure the storage of our devices is secure and tidy.
We will also help with promoting digital safety and ICT skills. For example, we will lead the Primary 7s in helping the Primary 2 class become more familiar with a maths website called Sumdog.
We are looking forward to helping out around the school.

Hello! We are the Digital Leaders Team. The team is made up of 5 Primary 7s. We applied, were interviewed and chosen to do this job. And we do it well! We are responsible for all things digital, including charging iPads and laptops as well as updating apps and software.
We help create videos and movies for groups at St Catherine’s. We also write blogs for the school website and help teachers post updates as well. Teachers can also come to us for troubleshooting or can request us to come to their class to help pupils log in to computers or websites like Sumdog. We play a big part at St Catherine’s Primary School!
