Recently the Fresh Start group have been looking at the story of Romeo and Juliet. It was extremely interesting exploring the themes of love, death, revenge and family feuds. We thought about character feelings at various points in the story, sequenced the main ideas of the story and created a graphic organiser of the relationships between the characters. Michael had the great idea of comparing the film ‘Gnomeo and Juliet’ with the play. As part of the Listening and Talking outcomes, we had a movie morning where we watched the film and took notes under a range of headings- as well as eating popcorn!
